You can read all about qigong in general in this blog post.
In the workshop you will learn an entire Qigong form, called Shibashi 1.
The Koorana Centre, Ardingly, West Sussex.
Shibashi is a sequence of 18 moves – taken predominantly from tai chi forms and qigong movements, and brought together into a lovely flowing routine.
It’s an easy form to learn and can be practiced anywhere with just a little space, by default it takes around 15 minutes to perform but can be shortened or lengthened as required.
This workshop is suitable for everyone – if you would like to move more efficiently, breathe deeper, be more mindful in your movements, have better balance, reduce stress and feel more relaxed in general. It helps with balance, coordination, will increase flexibility and range of motion throughout the whole body. If anyone has mobility issues or isn’t able to stand for long periods of time, the whole routine can be learnt and practiced from a seated position.
We will be integrating meditation – seated, standing, still and moving – throughout the whole workshop. Leaving you feel feeling calm, grounded and reinvigorated!
