I have been interested in martial arts for as long as I can remember. My first style was Wado Ryu karate from the age of about 15.

I attended a Tai Chi class in my early 20’s and some years later started Iaido. However, it wasn’t until I started the White Crane style that I found something that truly has it all and it has hooked me (excuse the pun) ever since.

I started with Tai Chi and soon moved on to Kung Fu as well, finding these complimented each other perfectly. Open hand sparring, Chinese kick boxing, grappling and ground fighting added yet another dimension and all under the White Crane ‘banner’. When you include the many weapons patterns that are also taught it is clear that White Crane offers something for everyone at any age and any level of fitness.

Becoming an Instructor at the White Crane Academy has long been a goal of mine. Training with Mark (founder of White Crane Academy and Chief Instructor) is always a rewarding experience and I look forward to continuing to learn from him over the years and to showing my own students what it is that makes White Crane such an awesome system!

I guarantee that, whichever aspect of White Crane you choose to practice, you will see improvements across all areas of your life – physical fitness, mobility, strength, confidence and stress levels to name but a few. Perhaps most importantly, you will be learning new skills alongside all these other benefits.

I look forward to welcoming you to the classes. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions at all.
