Regardless of your current level of fitness or ability, we have classes that will fit your requirements, or one-to-one training that is tailored specifically to your goals.
Over two decades, Mark has fostered an environment where all are made to feel welcome and given the time and encouragement to improve their health and fitness.
It does not matter where you are starting your journey, whether you are a complete beginner or have previous experience of Tai Chi, Qigong, Kung Fu, Kickboxing, or strength/fitness training. There is always something new to learn, and it is taught with passion, enthusiasm and respect within a friendly and welcoming environment.
The Evolution of White Crane Academy
White Crane Academy began in December 2008 after Mark had spent several years in his 20’s training in Kickboxing initially, before progressing onto the Fujian White Crane style under the tutelage of Russell Suthern of White Crane Martial Arts in Brighton.
What began as one Kung Fu class in a small hall in Crawley, over the years has grown steadily into a multi-location club with classes 6 days a week in Mid Sussex, teaching classes, courses, and workshops, as well as training one-to-one clients from his own studio.
In 2018, TaiChiApp was co-founded by Mark. With this mobile app, you can learn and practice both Tai Chi, and Qigong from any device, anytime and anywhere.
Seeking to develop his Tai Chi and Qigong knowledge and skills, in 2019 Mark began studying Chen style Tai Chi with Master Ping of FangYuan Tai Chi School in Jieyang, Guangdong, China. Visiting China twice a year and studying weekly online, Mark certified as a Chen instructor and now teaches Chen as a part of White Crane Academy’s core syllabus, and takes groups of students to China.
