Who Is White Crane For?
Training with White Crane Academy or White Crane Online is suitable for you whatever your current level of martial arts ability or fitness. WCA has taught everyone from 4 year old children, teenagers and adults of all ages, all the way up to 105 years of age!
It does not matter where you are starting your journey, whether you are a complete beginner or have previous experience of martial arts training – you will find training with Mark and his team of instructors a rewarding and enjoyable experience. There is always something new to learn and it is taught with passion, enthusiasm and respect within a friendly and welcoming environment.
One short phrase that has stuck with Mark through years of training and teaching is probably the most important reason why you should train.
“Training in martial arts can add years to your life and life to your years…”
The Evolution of White Crane Academy
White Crane Academy began in December 2008 after Mark had spent several years in his 20’s training in kickboxing initially, before progressing onto White Crane kung fu/tai chi/Chinese kickboxing/grappling/weapons under the tutelage of Russell Suthern of White Crane Martial Arts in Brighton. His instructor, Dennis Ngo learnt directly from Master Ang Lian Huat, the founder of this lineage of White Crane in Singapore.
What began as one kung fu class in a small hall in Crawley, over the years has grown steadily into a multi-location club with classes 7 days a week in Mid Sussex and West Sussex, teaching tai chi, kung fu and Chinese kickboxing.
White Crane Online began in 2018, which metaphorically opened the doors of White Crane Academy to the world – here tai chi and related activities are taught via high quality video tutorials, many of which are free. There are also opportunities to learn via Skype.
Mark recently started White Crane Personal Training where you can reap the fitness benefits of training like a martial artist, with less of a focus on the martial elements.
